What is Direct Radiography (X-Ray)?

Direct radiography (X-ray) is one of the most fundamental medical imaging methods, using X-rays to visualize bones, joints, and internal organs. Due to its speed and ease of application, it is widely used in the initial evaluation and diagnosis of many conditions. At our center, we perform various X-ray examinations to provide detailed assessments of bones, joints, lungs, and abdominal structures.

X-Ray Services Offered in Our Center

Bone and Joint X-Rays

  • Single-View Bone X-Ray: Used to evaluate bone structures from a single angle.

  • Two-View Bone X-Ray: Provides imaging from different angles, allowing clearer assessment of fractures, dislocations, and tumors.

  • Single-View Joint X-Ray: Used for evaluating joint conditions, calcifications, and trauma from one direction.

  • Two-View Joint X-Ray: Offers detailed joint imaging from multiple angles; useful in diagnosing arthritis, injuries, and degenerative diseases.

Chest X-Rays

  • Single-View Chest X-Ray: Commonly used for screening lung infections, pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung masses, and other respiratory diseases.

  • Two-View Chest X-Ray: Provides both frontal and lateral views of the lungs for a more accurate diagnosis.

Abdominal X-Rays

  • Supine (Lying Down) Abdominal X-Ray: Helps detect bowel obstruction, gas patterns, and gastrointestinal perforations.

  • Upright Abdominal X-Ray: Preferred for assessing intra-abdominal fluid accumulation, bowel gas distribution, and intestinal obstructions.

Spine X-Rays

  • Two-View Cervical Spine X-Ray: Evaluates the neck vertebrae for trauma, herniation, and degenerative diseases.

  • Two-View Lumbar Spine X-Ray: Assesses the lower back vertebrae for fractures, hernias, degenerative changes, and scoliosis.

  • Two-View Thoracic Spine X-Ray: Detects fractures, tumors, and structural abnormalities in the thoracic spine.
